Do not be deterred by the outdated storefront and interior. These doughnuts are so much better than the commercial chains. They have the best and freshest custard ones. The most gigantic coffee rolls, apple fritters, twists and eclairs I’ve seen. It’s too bad there aren’t more locations. This one is not far from the airport.
You want a apple fritter the size of your head? Or a coffee roll the size of a small child? They got you! The doughnuts are always fabulous. I only wish they had ice cream to have with the warm apple fritter! ...
This is a personal favorite of my whole family! Drove about 25 mins after work, and everything is always delicious!!! Definitely 10 out of 10... They also tend to donate some of the doughnuts at the end of the night, and that always make MY heart happy.
Country Style Donuts flat out make a fantastic product. We do not live near the shop but always try to make time to stop by when in the area. Today we were helping Wreath Across America retire the wreaths placed on gravesites at Richmond National Cemetery. After we were finished, we stopped by Country Style Donuts on Williamsburg Road to grab an assorted dozen. There's always a line at this very popular donut shop, but the staff handles customers quickly, and with a smile. We got our mix of donuts and hit the road for our 30 minute drive home. Yup... only 9 of the 12 donuts made it all the way home, so my picture only shows nine! Love this place.
Fast and friendly service and delicious donuts! Especially loved the apple crum, buttercream with chocolate frosting, and guava with cream cheese frosting!
I love the country-style donuts. They have so many flavors to choose from. The vibe and customer service make me feel at home. When someone walks in, the owner says hi with a big smile and welcomes them. The price is not cheap, but it's worth it.
Adorable little shop! The owner was there when I came in, he was so friendly!!! Ordered 24 doughnut holes, a variety of blueberry, buttermilk and traditional. I ate probably 8 of them on the way home, they were SO good!!! The buttermilk are my favorite, thick dough, beautiful glazed icing, just amazing!!! Will DEFINITELY be coming back!
I came here before and enjoyed the donuts and coffee, so when in the area again I stopped in. Both times I got donuts and a gallon of coffee for coworkers for a meeting and both times they liked what I got. They have donut holes too, even seasonal ones, like pumpkin. They also have these huge turnovers, like apple turnovers. Staff is friendly and helpful too. Definitely worth stopping in!
